1725
Robert Lécuyer founded the Lécuyer establishments, specializing in the weaving of cotton, linen, and hemp. The company quickly modernized by integrating machines imported from Boston (United States).
A pioneer in its field, it became one of the first ribbon manufacturers in France. In Drucourt, in the Eure region, Robert Lécuyer operated ribbon looms, building a unique expertise. Today, Lécuyer weaving is the last heir to this rich regional textile heritage.
1851
Cyriaque Lécuyer took over the family business. The Lécuyer establishments quickly established themselves as the leading ribbon manufacturers in Normandy and reached their peak during the Second Empire.
1899
Construction of the factory in Thiberville (27), in the Eure region, was completed. This new factory employed several hundred people.
1926
New revolutionary looms were introduced, contributing to the company’s expansion.
2002
Diversification into the manufacturing of ribbons and technical straps for various industrial applications.
2003
Relocation to new premises in Glos (14), in the Calvados region.
2009
A second production site was established.
Acquisition of Fantex, a company specialized in weaving, braiding, knitting, and dyeing.
2015
Lécuyer Group. The company acquired new premises and moved to Lisieux. It continued to specialize in technical manufacturing by investing heavily in state-of-the-art industrial equipment.
